National Minimum Wage from April 2016

From 1st April 2016, a new national minimum wage will be introduced.   For those aged 25 or above, they will now earn £7.20 per hour, and will be referred to as the National Living Wage.

Those aged 21 – 25 will earn £6.70 per hour.

18 – 21 year olds will earn £5.30per hour.

Those under 18 will earn £3.87 per hour.

Apprentices will earn £3.30 per hour.

Please note, the Living Wage Foundation recommends that the Living wage should be £9.40 in London and £8.25 outside London, but this not as yet a legal requirement.
