Recent research from the CIPD (the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development) has shown that the average cost of sickness absence per employee has increased to £554 a year. Coupled with that, a recent PricewaterhouseCoopers report has stated that there is “a wealth of evidence” showing links that staff who benefit from their company’s well-being initiatives also help improve the bottom line performance.
These days, it is recommended that companies shouldn’t have a “one size fits all” approach, but that well-being initiatives should be tailored towards individual’s preferences and requirements.
