  1. If you cannot provide evidence that your staff is eligible to work in the UK, the Home Office may fine you up to £10,000.

You are legally required to demonstrate that your employees are eligible to work in the UK.  This simple check can be done during the recruitment process. You need to ask all applicants/ employees regarding their eligibility to work in the UK.  The documentary evidence should then be copied and stored securely in personnel files….
